After much deliberation the board has made the very difficult decision to cancel our regular fall soccer season. However, we would still like to possibly hold a “clinics only” season led by the wonderful professional youth soccer trainers from Phoenix Rush Soccer Club. These clinics are tentatively scheduled for October and November. If we are able to do that we will calculate the cost, as always, so it is as low as possible while allowing us to cover our expenses. To be clear, the guidelines that we would have to follow would require all non-playing participants and parents/spectators to wear masks and stay socially distanced during the clinics. We will provide an update on the possibility of a “clinics only” season as soon as we can.
FHSC is a member of the Arizona Soccer Association and our soccer club, our volunteer board members, our volunteer coaches, and all registered players are insured through the ASA. As of today the ASA website is still recommending Phase One Return-To-Play guidelines which stipulate that players cannot have any physical contact and players must maintain a distance of at least ten feet apart from each other while both on and off the field. The ASA has recently expressed that they would like to do everything in their power to ensure that clubs can resume activities in the fall and would like to be at Phase Four Return-To-Play guidelines soon. If you’d like to read more about the ASA safety guidelines please visit the ASA website.
If we are able to have our “clinics only” season we will need to be in compliance with:
Please understand that we are doing our absolute best to make the best decisions for this soccer club with the health and safety of the children and their families as our top priority.
Thank you so much for your continued patience and understanding.
A big thank you to our sponsors!
